Meet the Models: Tobey Eugenio

By Caroline O'Donnell | September 20, 2017

Tobey Eugenio, Survivor since 2013 I was first diagnosed with breast cancer in June of 2011 at the age of 39.  At that time, it was determined, while we had no family history, that I was BRCA1 positive. I underwent a double mastectomy and chemo treatments with a bilateral oophorectomy in the spring, I had a local recurrence in Dec 2013, underwent chemo, radiation and a trial drug and have been disease free since. Yahoooo! I consider myself a thriver and cherish the journey!

We love you mom.

By Caroline O'Donnell | August 30, 2017

Marie Joyce Rose, Survivor since 2016 I was first diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer in 2012 at the age of 51, and then had a recurrence in my pelvic bone in 2016 right before the 2016 Runway for Recovery, which I walked in (well, ran in because I had another quick costume change!) Thanks to the excellent treatment from Dr. John Erban and the Breast Health Center team at Tufts Medical Center, this recurrence is not really fazing me. There has been such an advancement in the treatments for metastatic breast cancer, I sometimes forget I have cancer! I…
