A Breast Cancer Community

Our Mission

Runway for Recovery provides families with a continuum of support along their journey with breast cancer. We create community by hosting events and providing services that create joy and inspire hope. With shared understanding we celebrate survivors, honor legacies and fund families who have experienced loss.

Funding Families

The Family Grant program provides resources to families who have been financially affected by breast cancer. Each grant allocates $10-30K in funding to patients who have been diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer or to families who have had a guardian pass away from the disease.

Building Community

From our Recovery Retreat, to our Love Local events, to our Playing for Pink games, Runway strives to not only raise money but to build community, raise awareness, and create support systems for those who have been touched by breast cancer.

Modeling Courage

Runway aims to honor legacy and celebrate life. Our signature event, the Runway Show, celebrates those in our lives who have been touched by breast cancer. This event occurs annually in New England, New York, and Southern California.

Frequently Asked Questions

Untitled design (32)

"A lot of organizations tout about their ability to create community, but I’ve never actually seen anything quite like what you’ve created at Runway. The family grants are obviously life changing, but the bonds born out of the Runway experience seem life sustaining for many of these women. It was a beautiful thing to bear witness to, and helped lift my spirits during what has been a particularly difficult chapter of my own mother’s cancer journey. "

Long Tran

Long and Max Tran are two of the many people that we have funded at Runway for Recovery. When faced with becoming a single parent after the death of his wife, Kim, Long was able to apply for and receive funding for childcare, music lessons, and summer camp. He found that in allowing himself to open up and ask for help, a community wrapped their arms around him and his son, and allowed them a chance to grieve.
