Courtney Camps, Walking in celebration of her mother, Ellen Quinlan (currently in treatment) My mom and I walk as she continues to battle this disease today. We take courage from our family and friends to take everyday as it comes, recognizing strength is earned not handed out, positive thoughts bring positive results. We are grateful for those who share good energy with us both everyday.
Kristin MacMillen Achtmeyer, Walking in memory of her mother, Candace Williams MacMillen Achtmeyer (2001) I’m incredibly proud of my sister Olivia for starting Runway for Recovery 10 years ago. The camaraderie, the support and the empowerment that you control your choices reinforce that cancer doesn’t have to be a disaster.

As more time passes, I feel more confident that I beat this disease and will continue to be a survivor. It has been so special to be a part of the Runway community, meeting all the women and families last year filled me with so much hope and pride to be included and surrounded by such a strong force of support. Since being diagnosed, my view on life…
