For Erin, her mom wasn’t just a parent—she was her best friend, her travel buddy, her confidante, and her biggest cheerleader. Now, Erin is walking the Runway in her honor, bringing the same joy, sparkle, and energy her mom brought into every room.
When Laura was first diagnosed with DCIS (Ductal Carcinoma in Situ) in 2021, she felt fortunate to have caught it early. Taking an aggressive approach, she opted for a bilateral mastectomy, believing it would eliminate the cancer for good. But two years later, in 2023, her world shifted in a devastating direction: she was diagnosed with Stage IV metastatic breast cancer.
Twelve years after her breast cancer diagnosis, Amy has a powerful perspective that only time and experience can provide. She lives with gratitude, boldness, and a deep appreciation for the small and sacred acts of support that carried her through the darkest days—and she’s walking this year to honor all of it.
I am not the same person. But the new person I am – is stronger. The person I am now is more focused. More aware. I love more deeply and openly. I invest heavily in the people who I love, and who love me – and tune out everything else. My kids see my strength, I hope – and I try to help them see their own strength, power and resiliency, too. Cancer takes a lot. But somehow, through all of it, I somehow gained, as well.
This October, one model’s walk down the runway will not just be a step—it will be a living tribute.
He’ll be walking hand-in-hand with his daughters, honoring the life and legacy of their beloved wife and mother, Kimberly—a woman whose presence was as powerful as her love, whose laughter filled rooms, and whose quiet strength guided her family through unimaginable moments.
