Meet the Models: Andrew Earle

Legacy Model Spotlight: Andrew Earle

Honoring His Wife, Hannah

This fall, Andrew Earle walks the Runway in honor of his late wife, Hannah, whose journey through breast cancer was one of profound courage, intentionality, and love. Her story is woven deeply into the Runway for Recovery community—one she believed in wholeheartedly. Today, Andrew continues that connection, honoring her legacy, and walking to inspire others navigating the unbearable weight of loss.

Hannah’s Story: A Life Lived With Intention

Hannah was first diagnosed in 2016 with early-stage breast cancer at the age of 31, while raising two very young children—a four-year-old and an 18-month-old. She underwent a lumpectomy, chemotherapy, and radiation, and was put on tamoxifen. At that point, she and her doctors believed she had beaten cancer.

But in 2018, everything changed. Hannah received a devastating diagnosis of metastatic breast cancer (MBC). The recurrence shattered the future she and Andrew had imagined. “The first time felt scary but manageable,” Andrew shares. “The second time—it was blindingly terrible.” It became a daily act of resilience just to get through.

Still, Hannah was determined to not let cancer define her children's childhoods. “I woke up every day with a brave face to be the most normal mom I could possibly be,” she said. She compartmentalized the disease and focused on making memories, creating normalcy, and surrounding her kids with joy and love. For Hannah, her children were the driving force in everything she did.

Community, Travel, and Holding On to Joy

One of the defining pillars of Hannah and Andrew’s life together was travel. Even during treatment, the couple made the bold decision to live abroad with their children—because it was essential to who they were. “We were determined to not let cancer take that from us,” Andrew says. While the logistics were complicated, the reward was in reclaiming a sense of life beyond cancer.

Their community, both local and global, also stepped up in unimaginable ways. “During Hannah’s time in hospice and at her memorial, friends from near and far showed up and helped,” Andrew remembers. “It was like a living photo album of her life and our life together.”

Hannah’s Voice Lives On

Hannah was deeply committed to ensuring the stories of others living with MBC were not forgotten. She had lost close friends to breast cancer, and she was adamant that their legacies—**and eventually her own—**would live on through storytelling, connection, and honest conversation.

She often said, “Regardless of when I pass away, I don’t want my kids looking back and thinking ‘my mom was sick, my childhood was colored by cancer.’ I want my memory to live on through my kids, my friends, and my community.

In her own words, she shared a philosophy that became her compass:

“Live with purpose and intention, because life is short and fragile, but also beautiful and full of wonder.”

Why Andrew Walks

Andrew walks for Hannah, for their children, and for all families navigating the before and after of cancer. He walks because he knows that joy doesn’t end, even when grief begins. And he walks because Runway for Recovery is one of the few communities that sees the full picture—not just the medical realities, but the emotional, practical, and relational ripples of cancer.

“Hannah loved Runway. It meant the world to her,” he says. “And now it continues to support our family.”

A Legacy of Light

As Andrew takes the stage this fall, he doesn’t just carry Hannah’s memory—he carries her message: that life is worth living fully, bravely, and joyfully, even in the face of the unimaginable. Hannah’s story continues—through her children, her husband, and the powerful community of Runway for Recovery that promises she will never be forgotten.
