Jenna Auber, Survivor since 2013
I walk the Runway for three reasons: to honor the lives and memories of courageous loved ones we’ve lost, to celebrate the beauty and strength of fellow survivors, and to support the families who are currently battling the devastating blow of a cancer diagnosis. When I was making my way through treatment and “putting one foot in front of the other”, every ounce of energy I had went into healing my mind, body and soul and keeping everything as normal as possible for my precious little boys (then 2&4). Financial responsibilities, though ever-present, took a back seat. I am eternally grateful to my family, friends, and co-workers for coming together, time and again to ensure that financial stress didn’t interfere with my healing. I will never forget how each act of generosity and kindness, big and small, lifted my spirits during a most challenging time in my life. It is an honor to be a part of the Runway community and to play a role in supporting the families who are affected by breast cancer. Thank you Olivia and your Runway team! And thank you Kathryn (Bailis) Philips (my dear college friend and survivor) for inviting me to be a part of this phenomenal night!
