Fitchburg Girls Volleyball is Playing for Runway—and playing for something bigger than the game.
On October 19, the team will take the court for a special Play for Runway game, bringing together athletes, families, friends, and the Fitchburg community to raise funds and awareness for families impacted by breast cancer.
For these athletes, Play for Runway is about more than wearing pink. It is an opportunity to use their team, their game, and their community to make a meaningful difference for families who need support.
This partnership has an especially meaningful connection for Fitchburg Volleyball. One of the teachers their coach has worked with for the past three years shared how much Runway for Recovery has done for their family, inspiring the team to choose a local organization where the funds they raise can have a real impact.
Runway for Recovery believes that breast cancer impacts the entire family. Through our Family Grants and community-based programs, we provide meaningful financial and emotional support to families navigating a breast cancer diagnosis, treatment, metastatic disease, and loss.
On October 19, we hope you’ll fill the stands, cheer on Fitchburg Girls Volleyball, and help these athletes reach their fundraising goal.
