2021 Runway Show Safety Protocols

Dear Runway for Recovery community,

Because of the population that we serve, which is primarily immunocompromised at our annual Runway show, we would like to give you an important update about the following precautions we are taking in order to do all we can to help ensure the safety of attendees at our October event, scheduled to take place on October 22, 2021.

As a reminder, the event space at the Westin Hotel, located in Boston’s Seaport district, is a very large ballroom with high ceilings and good ventilation. We will be requiring the following at this year’s event:

  • All guests, vendors and employees will be masked for the duration of the event.
  • Food and drink will be served in an outside or spread out area that allows for social distancing while eating and drinking is occurring.
  • All guests will need to be fully vaccinated against Covid-19. We will provide a link for you to safely and securely upload a copy of your vaccination card prior to the event.
  • Additionally, we are asking all guests for a negative Covid-19 test and will once again provide a safe portal for you to submit this information. The test may be in the form of a negative PCR test 72 hours prior to the event or a rapid Antigen test 36 hours prior to the event.

We are very much committed to bringing this community together in a safe and celebratory way in October. Of course, as is the way of the world these days, all of this is subject to change based on the community spread of Covid-19 in October.

Thank you to our many supporters who have already purchased a ticket to this year’s show. We encourage all who have not to consider buying a ticket and supporting Runway with a 100% tax free donation. As always, thank you for helping us spread the word about the work we do on behalf of this inspiring community we are honored to serve.

With gratitude,

Olivia Boger & The Runway Team
