This fall, Rivers student-athletes are coming together for something bigger than the game.
Led by the Cancer Awareness Club, fall sports teams across Rivers are participating in Play for Runway — turning their games into an opportunity to honor those impacted by breast cancer, raise meaningful funds, and support families navigating metastatic breast cancer and the loss of a parent.
Each team will have its own fundraising page and will compete to see who can raise the most for Runway for Recovery. Choose your team, make a gift, and help them climb the leaderboard!
Play for Runway is about more than wearing pink. It gives students a tangible way to turn Breast Cancer Awareness Month into action. Funds raised help Runway provide direct financial assistance and a community of support to families facing metastatic or terminal breast cancer, or grieving the loss of a parent to the disease.
That support can include help with groceries, household expenses, childcare, tutoring, camps, sports, and other everyday needs that help children stay connected to the things they love during an incredibly difficult time.
