How has breast cancer affected your life?

Jonny is walking the Runway in honor of his mom.

Breast cancer has shaped his family’s story through the loss of someone deeply loved, and this October, Jonny will step onto the Runway stage as a way of carrying his mother’s memory forward.

He will not be walking alone. His daughter will be beside him.

For Jonny, that makes the moment even more meaningful. It is a chance not only to honor his mother, but to help his daughter feel connected to the grandmother whose legacy continues through their family.

How did you first get involved with Runway?

Jonny first connected with Runway through the Boston Marathon.

He was part of Runway’s first-ever Boston Marathon team, a milestone the organization had been working toward for years. After applying for marathon bibs for a decade, Runway received four spots, and Jonny was one of the first four runners to represent the organization.

Running 26.2 miles for Runway was a major commitment, both physically and emotionally. It was also a powerful way to support families affected by breast cancer and help grow a program that will continue for future runners.

Because of Jonny and the rest of the inaugural marathon team, Runway is able to continue building its Boston Marathon presence.

Why are you walking the Runway this year?

This year, Jonny gets to see Runway from a different perspective.

Instead of training for miles or fundraising as a marathon runner, he will be part of the 20th Anniversary Show, surrounded by the models, families, survivors, loved ones, and supporters who make up the Runway community.

For Jonny, the night is a chance to honor his mom in a new way.

The Runway stage is not about perfection or performance. It is about celebration. It is about dancing, remembering, and letting a room full of people cheer for the people we love and the stories we carry.

What does it mean to walk with your daughter?

Walking with his daughter makes the night especially powerful.

Together, they will honor Jonny’s mom and the legacy she left behind. His daughter will get to be part of a community that understands how breast cancer affects entire families, across generations.

For Jonny, it is a way to keep his mother’s story present. It is a way to show his daughter that remembrance can be joyful, that legacy can be active, and that love can still be carried forward in big and visible ways.

On the Runway stage, they will get to share a moment that belongs not only to them, but to the woman they are walking for.

What are we celebrating this year?

This year, we are celebrating Jonny’s mother and the legacy she continues to leave through her family.

We are so grateful to have Jonny join us all the way from London and can’t wait for him to take the stage!
