SUMMARY:Play for Runway: The Dana Hall School
DESCRIPTION:The Dana Hall School is Playing for Runway! \nThis October\, the Dana Hall community is coming together once again to Play for Runway — marking five years of partnership with Runway for Recovery. Over the past four years alone\, Dana Hall has raised more than $7\,000 for Runway\, turning its fall athletic tradition into meaningful support for the families we serve. \nOn October 30 & 31\, during Family Weekend\, nearly 200 Dana Hall fall athletes\, coaches\, and managers will participate\, bringing Play for Runway across the school’s fall athletic programs. \nThis partnership has an especially meaningful beginning. It grew from the involvement of Runway model\, Board member\, and Dana Hall alumna Emily Cohen\, who created the Linda Cohen Educational Fund in memory of her mother. Through that fund and Emily’s personal generosity\, more than $42\,000 in educational payments have been made on behalf of Runway families — helping children continue participating in school\, tutoring\, academic enrichment\, and other opportunities during incredibly difficult times. \nThat connection between education\, young people\, and helping children keep doing the things they love makes Dana Hall’s commitment to Play for Runway especially meaningful. Over the years\, the program has also become a student-led tradition\, with Dana Hall captains taking ownership of sharing Runway’s mission and the meaning behind their games with their peers and community. \nFunds raised through Play for Runway support families facing metastatic or terminal breast cancer\, or grieving the loss of a parent to the disease. DESCRIPTION:Tickets go on sale November 2\, 2026\nSponsorship opportunities are available now. \nJoin us as we celebrate five years of Runway for Recovery in Southern California with an unforgettable evening of community\, connection\, storytelling\, and impact. \nThe 5th Anniversary Runway Show\, Southern California is far more than a fashion show. It is a celebration of those who have been impacted by breast cancer\, a tribute to those we have lost\, and a powerful reminder that no family should face breast cancer alone. \nAnd this year’s Model class gives us so much to celebrate. \n70 extraordinary Models from across the country will come together in Huntington Beach\, each bringing their own story and their own connection to breast cancer. \nAmong this year’s Models: \n\n30 have completed treatment for breast cancer\n22 are currently in active treatment for Stage 0–3 breast cancer\n11 are living with metastatic breast cancer\n5 will dance in memory of someone they have lost to breast cancer\n2 are previvors\n\nOur Models are traveling from across the country to be part of this community\, with 28 Models from California and others joining us from more than 20 states and Washington\, D.C. \nWe are also incredibly proud that 44% of this year’s Model class identifies as Models of color\, including 19% who identify as Black or African American. Breast cancer impacts every community\, and we are committed to building a Runway where more people can see themselves\, their families\, and their experiences represented. \nAnd one of the numbers that excites us most: 60 of our 70 Models will be dancing on a Runway for Recovery runway for the very first time. \nThat means 86% of this year’s class is new to the Runway stage\, joining 10 returning Models who already know just how special this community can be. \nFor one incredible evening\, all 70 will come together on one stage — those in treatment\, those living with metastatic disease\, those who have completed treatment\, previvors\, those honoring someone they love\, first-time Models\, and returning Models — surrounded by family members\, friends\, supporters\, and members of the Southern California community cheering them on. \nBut the impact of the Runway extends far beyond one night. \nThe funds raised through the Runway Show help Runway for Recovery provide critical support to families navigating metastatic breast cancer and loss\, helping parents protect some of the everyday moments of childhood during an extraordinarily difficult time. \nSponsorship Opportunities Are Available Now\nYou don’t have to wait until November to be part of this milestone year — sponsorship opportunities are available now\, along with the first opportunity to secure VIP reserved seating for the show. \nBusinesses\, family foundations\, individuals\, and community partners can join us at a variety of sponsorship levels\, from our Community Champion Sponsor ($2\,500) through our Premier Pink Sponsor ($25\,000).
