DESCRIPTION:This October\, the entire Imperial Middle School community is Playing for Runway! \nStudents\, families\, and staff are coming together throughout the month to raise funds for Runway for Recovery and support families impacted by breast cancer. Imperial is turning Breast Cancer Awareness Month into a school-wide effort\, with a classroom fundraising competition\, proceeds from the snack shack at home volleyball and flag football games\, a local dine-out event\, marquee shoutouts\, and more opportunities for students to get involved. \nRunway for Recovery provides meaningful financial and emotional support to families navigating metastatic breast cancer or the passing of a parent from breast cancer. Through its Family Grants Program\, Runway helps cover real expenses that keep families moving forward — from rent and groceries to therapy\, summer camp\, sports\, dance\, music lessons\, and other extracurricular activities for children. \nEvery contribution from the Imperial community will help Runway provide that support to families who need it. \nJoin Imperial Middle School this October\, make a gift\, and help our entire school Play for Runway! \nDonate

Choose your team\, make a gift\, and help them climb the leaderboard! \nPlay for Runway is about more than wearing pink. It gives students a tangible way to turn Breast Cancer Awareness Month into action. DESCRIPTION:Play for Runway is taking over Trevor athletics this October! Across three days\, 11 Trevor teams and 180 student-athletes will come together in support of families impacted by breast cancer. \nStudents across Trevor’s athletic program will be dedicating games to Runway for Recovery\, raising funds and awareness for families navigating metastatic breast cancer and the loss of a parent. \nThe Play for Runway games are: \n\nOctober 8\n\n7th/8th grade Girls Fire Volleyball\n\n\nOctober 13\n\nGirls JV Tennis\nGirls JV Volleyball\n7th/8th Grade Girls Dragon Volleyball\n\n\nOctober 14\n\nGirls Varsity Tennis\nGirls Varsity Soccer\nGirls Varsity Volleyball\n\n\nOctober 15\n\nJV Boys Soccer\nVarsity Boys Soccer\nVarsity Cross Country\n7th/8th Grade Boys Fire Soccer\n7th/8th Grade Cross Country\n\n\n\nGames and meets will take place October 8–15 and include girls and boys soccer\, volleyball\, tennis and cross-country\, with athletes across middle school\, JV and varsity teams participating. \nWe are so excited to see the Trevor community come together in pink for Play for Runway! \nTrevor students have already made an incredible impact through this partnership\, raising nearly $6\,000 for Runway for Recovery. This year\, Lily and Hannah Kazanoff are carrying that effort forward\, giving their classmates an opportunity to turn Breast Cancer Awareness Month into meaningful action for families who need it. \nAt each game\, students will have the opportunity to play in honor or memory of someone impacted by breast cancer while raising funds that provide tangible support for Runway families — helping with needs like groceries\, housing\, transportation\, childcare and other everyday expenses during an extraordinarily difficult time. \nWe are so grateful to Lily\, Hannah\, Trevor Day School\, and every student\, family\, coach and team joining us this October. DESCRIPTION:On October 14\, Newburyport Field Hockey will celebrate its 6th year Playing for Runway. \nThis one is especially meaningful to us. Head Coach Shannon Haley was one of the first coaches to reach out to Runway for Recovery about getting her team involved when we were building the Play for Runway program. Six years later\, Newburyport Field Hockey continues to show up year after year\, bringing players\, families\, and the Newburyport community together to support families impacted by breast cancer. \nShannon and the Newburyport Field Hockey team are also featured in this video about Play for Runway\, sharing what it means for student-athletes to take the field for something bigger than the game. WATCH THE VIDEO \nThis year\, the team will once again raise funds for Runway for Recovery\, a nonprofit providing meaningful financial and emotional support to families impacted by breast cancer. Rather than a traditional fundraising page\, Newburyport Field Hockey will be selling raffle tickets\, with proceeds benefiting Runway families. PURCHASE RAFFLE TICKETS \nRunway believes that breast cancer never impacts just one person.
