SUMMARY:GFC 2025 Golf Marathon
DESCRIPTION:Play Golf for Runway for Recovery on June 6\, 2025 at Juniper Hills. \nJoin the Runway Team co-captained by Holly Foster and Bill Achtmeyer for an unbelievable day of camaraderie where golfers of all skill levels are sponsored to play 100 holes in one day to positively impact the lives of cancer patients and their families. Launched in New England in 2005\, more than $4.25 Million has been raised through GFC’s Golf Marathon\, with $830\,000 raised in 2023 by golfers representing 14 nonprofits. \nRunway for Recovery receives 100% of the funds raised by their golfers. \nWhat is required to participate?  \n\n$4\,000 per individual golfer\n$2\,000 per junior golfer (25 years old & under)\n\nGolf Fights Cancer covers all expenses related to the event – including cost of golf\, donation transaction fees\, food & beverage\, registration gifts & prizes\nGolf Fights Cancer provides all golfers with a fundraising page and resources to support their crowdfunding efforts – including an event newsletter and individual coaching\n\n\n\nWho Plays?  \n\nGolfers of all skill levels – from those who play only a few times a season to scratch golfers\nGolfers of all ages – over the years participants have ranged from elementary school aged through retirees\nGolfers who have been impacted by cancer\, either personally or through a family member/friend\, and are\npassionate about making a difference\n\nHow can you play 100 holes in one day? \n\nThis is not a day to shoot a personal best\, in fact\, golfers will not be keeping score\nHoles aren’t necessarily played in sequence. Golfers are assigned a starting hole and can then scatter and play\nany hole as they wish (even repeating a circuit)\nParticipants have the option to play two golf balls per hole with preferred lies\, and count both towards their tally\nPutts ‘inside the leather’ are gimmies\nShotgun start at 7:15am\, group lunch from 11:30am – 12:30pm\, golf finished by 5pm\n\nRegister or Donate

Golfers of all skill levels take on the challenge of playing 100 holes in one day to positively impact the lives of cancer patients and their families. \nSince launching in New England in 2005\, Golf Fights Cancer’s Golf Marathon has raised more than $4.25 million\, including $830\,000 in 2023 alone.
