David Duane, Walking in memory of his mother, Rita Duane (2009.) We are walking for a beloved mom… a beloved Nonni…. A beloved Aunt Rita. She was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2005, treatment was successful, but then she was diagnosed with another form of cancer – leiomeiosarcoma in 2007 and passed away shortly after Christmas in 2009. Rita remains an inspiration to the family she loved dearly, the friends from everywhere, and the three boys (4 including husband Jack) that made up the “Duane Locker Room”. Rita’s laughter and optimism was infectious, and her love endures. We love you mom.

In 2008 I had a reoccurrence, had surgery, and was thankfully was spared chemo treatments. It’s an honor to be part of R4R participating with my sister Kim and nieces Kristina & Vanessa.
